Treehog Lowering Device (Rubber Base)

The Treehog THLD 2 is a heavy duty lowering bollard designed to be attached to base of a tree.

It comes with two heavy duty webbing ratchet straps for this purpose, and the kit comes in a handy carry bag made of heavy duty PVC material.

The THLD 2 is mounted on the base of the tree with the two ratchet straps and the lowering line is then passed around the main tube a number of times, to introduce friction into the system. This enables the groundsman to control the descent of a cut limb and avoid shock loading of the rigging system and tree.

The THLD2 has been tested to a Maximum Breaking Strain of 50 kN, giving it a safe working load of 10 kN.

Two replaceable rubbers on the back of the device offer protection to the trunk.
